Welcome to Year Three
Class Teacher - Mrs Grimshaw
Teaching Assistant - Mrs Pennock
Dear Parents,
Unfortunately, it has become necessary to use home learning again. Please find all the work above in the Covid 2020/2021 folder.
This is where you will find out about what we have been up to in class, information about work and routines and also pictures of our wonderful learning.
Here is some information about this term. Remember to check out our School Twitter and Facebook feed or Class Dojo for more up to date information.
P.E
P.E. will take place on a Wednesday and your child is now able to come to school wearing their PE/sports kits. They will need trainers and school jumper or cardigan. We will also be using Joe Wicks on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday to get the children up and active.
Water bottles
Please ensure your child has a named water bottle in school. They will be able to fill up their water bottle as required throughout the school day.
Homework
I will not be setting homework whilst we are in lockdown as I feel the children are doing enough during the week. Although, I may ask for small tasks to be completed or discussed.
Reading
Reading is of high importance so we all need to listen to your child read as often as possible. The children will be able to change their books after they have finished and a parent has signed their reading record.
All weather
Please could I remind all parents to send a coat into school every day. The weather is unpredictable and we are trying to keep the children playing outside as much as possible.
If your child is off school due to Covid reasons, please access the Year 3 CV Home Learning page on the website where activities will be uploaded. Please upload their work to their own class dojo portfolio.
Any question or problems, please message me via class dojo and I will do my best to respond rapidly.
Thank you,
Mrs Grimshaw
Spellings are tested weekly. Here are the Year 3 and 4 words.
Times tables are really important and children are expected to know their 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 times tables by the end of Year 3. Please practise these with your child as often as possible.
Children are encouraged to behave well in class through consistent praise, stickers, dojos, raffle tickets, certificates and prizes.
Our prize and certificate winners this week. You are stars!
