Remembrance Day 2023

"God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in trouble."

                                                                                             Psalm 46.1

We were incredibly lucky to start our day off with year 2 and year 4 leading an assembly all about Remembrance Day. They showed they had found out a lot of information all about why Remembrance Day is so incredibly important. The children were very confident.

The Head boy and girl went up to the statue of the Unknown Soldier at Clitheroe to place a wreath with Mrs Mabbott this morning.

The GIFT Team led our whole school Worship on the playground as we held a two minutes silence to reflect on our own thoughts about the day.

The children have been doing lots of different things to help find out why Remembrance day is important to remember. Click on the photographs below to see what the children have been up to.
