At SSMJ, we aim to build a Personal, Social and Health Education curriculum which develops the whole child.  We embed the acquisition of knowledge and skills which enables children to access the wider curriculum and to prepare children for the wider world now and in their future roles within the wider world.

The intent of our PSHE curriculum is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the outcomes for every child so that they know more, remember more and understand more.

At SSMJ, we have a commitment to ensure that our programme is relevant to all pupils and is taught in a way that is age and stage appropriate.

We ensure RHE is inclusive and meets the needs of all our pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) by setting suitable learning challenges, responding to pupils’ diverse learning needs, and overcome potential barriers to learning and assessment for particular individuals and groups of pupils.
