  • Science Day 2026

Our Science Day was a fun and exciting experience where we carried out different experiments and learnt new things.

In KS1, pupils learnt about floating and sinking and created their own boats.  Another activity was to find the best material to plug a hole in a bucket, helping us understand which materials are waterproof and strong.

In KS2, pupils had a fun time with some messy investigations including creating vitamin C rockets, where we observed how a reaction can create gas and cause movement. We also used red cabbage as an indicator to test different substances and see if they were acids or alkalis, which changed the colour of the liquid.

Throughout the day, we worked together, shared ideas, and thought like scientists by making predictions and observing results. Science Day showed us how fun and interesting science can be, and how it helps us understand the world around us.
