Year 6 Roles and Responsibilities

Year 6 pupils take on a range of important roles and responsibilities as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. As the oldest members of our school community, they are expected to act as positive role models, demonstrating maturity, independence and respect at all times.

Our Year 6 pupils have the opportunity to take on leadership roles such as Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputies, Prefects, Lunchtime Helpers, Play Leaders and House Captains. Through these roles, they support younger children, assist staff, help to organise activities and contribute to the smooth running of the school day.

By embracing these responsibilities, Year 6 pupils develop key life skills including teamwork, communication, organisation and resilience. These experiences help to build confidence and independence, ensuring they are well-prepared for the next stage of their education.
