Music Learning 2025/2026

Here at SSMJ, we love making music fun and engaging for all our pupils! We use Charanga to deliver high-quality lessons, with lots of interactive songs, activities and resources that children really enjoy. Pupils also have their own logins so they can carry on exploring music at home. If your child is interested, they can also take part in Rocksteady—just register to get involved. Children enjoy learning Makaton songs and have the chance to play instruments such as the xylophone during their music lessons. We also have a KS2 choir where pupils can come together to enjoy singing in more depth and performing as a group. On top of this, we’re lucky to have specialist instrument lessons delivered by the Lancashire Music Hub, giving pupils even more opportunities to develop their musical skills.
