World book day - we are writers!
As a memory for school, we have decided that as a school we will publish our own book through the Scholastic ‘We are Writers’ scheme. We are leaving the ideas entirely up to you to write something for our St. Michael & St John’s Lockdown Library – our hope is that every child will be able to write or be supported to write a short story, poem, letter, diary entry, recipe or even play script to share something of the last strange, unprecedented year we have had. This can be a true recount of your year or totally make-believe or even a story of your hopes, dreams and wishes. You may prefer to write a letter – it could be to a relative or famous person who has inspired you or even to your friends you have missed in times of home learning. If you are feeling incredibly creative, you might like to turn to poetry at a way to inspire, celebrate or remember things that have happened in your life. If you want to do a family entry, it could be a recipe and story behind it. With all this of course, we welcome you to get your families involved to help you!
When you have written your entry to share, please log on to the following website and upload your writing. Your teacher will then proof read and check it online.

We hope to get as many children as possible published authors so please have a go, it doesn’t matter how short or long it is.
Please try to complete any writing by Sunday 28th March and uploaded as above then we can check all writing and send out an order form for the book which will retail at £7.99.
We look forward to reading your amazing writing, be creative, inspire your friends and families and let’s create a memory for St. Michael & St John’s that can be looked back on and treasured in many years to come.
